The site is located alongside the existing office building of the company which is characterised by staggered floors creating balconies towards the East. The new building takes this idea to a macro level by rotating each floor along the vertical axis to create semi-open terraces. The outer structural frame remains constant across all floors. The terraces are enclosed with perforated screens fixed on the structural frame cutting down direct sunlight and creating pleasant spaces for casual interaction or a quick break from work. Services are housed towards the West to block the heat gain and serviced spaces are placed on the East. The design is aimed at efficiently responding to not only its immediate context and climate but also the evolving needs of the client, making it a mark of the company’s progress.
