Status     Proposal

The architectural design proposal for the airport terminal aims at delivering a project with best-in-class technology and top-notch aesthetics and finishes with a central focus on environmental and economic sustainability. Design goals are achieved through the optimisation of:

​

1. Structure through controlling spans to reduce material usage and costs,

2. Space by increasing functionality and reducing overall areas to avoid overconsumption of resources

3. Services by opting for a decentralised HVAC system in each bay

 

The form and structure of the roof is jointly inspired by that of a ship referring to the coastal location of Daman and the wing of an aircraft.
